He is also a professor of law at the George Washington University Law School and a contributing editor of The Atlantic. He was previously the legal affairs editor of The New Republic and a staff writer for The New Yorker. ^^ Rosen's new book is The Pursuit of Happiness: How Classical Writers on Virtue Inspired the Lives of the Founders and Defined America. His other books include the New York Times bestseller Conversations with RBG: Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg on Life, Love, Liberty, and Law, as well as biographies of Louis Brandeis and William Howard Taft. ^^ Rosen is a graduate of Harvard College; Oxford University, where he was a Marshall Scholar; and Yale Law School.Vince StangoExecutive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer ~ Vince Stango is the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the National Constitution Center. Mr. Stango is responsible for driving the implementation of the president and CEO's vision and the organizational strategy developed with the board of trustees, leading the financial performance of the organization, overseeing board governance, and managing the day-to-day operations of the Center, including directing the work of the Center’s 100 employees. ^^ Mr. Stango has served the Center in various capacities for over two decades, and also steered the Center as interim president and CEO from 2012 to 2013, while working closely with the board of trustees to appoint a successor for the position. Mr. Stango received master's degrees in both public administration and human resource development from Villanova University and his undergraduate degree from Moravian University. Mr. Stango has served on numerous civic and community-based boards and has guest lectured and taught graduate-level courses in fundraising, visitor experience, and museum governance. Mr. Stango currently sits on the advisory council of Villanova University's Albert Lepage Center for History in the Public Interest. Christina ChaginVice President of Strategic Initiatives and Deputy COO ~ Christina Chagin is the vice president of strategic initiatives and deputy COO, serving as a member of the senior leadership team. Chagin's portfolio of work is anchored by board governance, project management, and high-profile event management. She supports the president and CEO and executive vice president and COO in several critical areas with the goals of maximizing team productivity, facilitating stronger and more transparent communication, and ensuring alignment of daily activities with strategic priorities. Her responsibilities include cultivating and maintaining a wide variety of external relationships; day-to-day facilitation of programs and projects with colleagues and staff; and project management of strategic initiatives. Christina leads and facilitates a variety of institutional programs including the Liberty Medal, President's Council Retreat, and other signature NCC events. In addition, she plays an integral role in managing the work of the board of trustees and its various committees. ^^ Christina Chagin began her work at the National Constitution Center in 2007 as the director of individual and major gifts, where she directed all aspects of fundraising for the Center's individual giving societies. Additional roles that she has held at the National Constitution Center include, director of board relations and director of executive relations. ^^ Prior to joining the National Constitution Center, Christina Chagin worked in the office of civic leader Wayne Spilove from 2004 to 2007, and was his liaison to the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and Historic Philadelphia, Inc., while Spilove was chairman of both organizations. Chagin also previously worked as deputy director of finance for then-U.S. Senate candidate Joseph M. Torsella. ^^ Christina Chagin received her Bachelor of Arts degree in law and society from American University in Washington, D.C., where she graduated with honors. Chagin also studied at American University’s campus in Rome, Italy. ^^ She lives in Philadelphia with her husband and four sons.Christine DonnellyVice President of Finance and Administration ~ In her current role as vice president of finance and administration, Christine Donnelly is responsible for all financial functions of the organization. She oversees the events, facility operations, technology, and exhibit operations departments, as well as the Center’s museum store, parking garage, and dining. She manages capital construction and serves as liaison with the Center’s legal counsel, banking relationship, and insurance brokers. ^^ Christine Donnelly has spent more than two decades working for the National Constitution Center, having joined the institution in 1990, two years after the Center was established by the Constitution Heritage Act. Donnelly was instrumental in the early days before the National Constitution Center became a reality on Independence Mall, serving first as finance and project manager. She has also held positions as business manager, director of accounting services, and director of finance. ^^ Christine Donnelly received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and marketing from Cabrini College. ^^ A native of Riverton, New Jersey, she resides in Cinnaminson with her husband and two daughters. She is active in the community, serving on the on the fundraising committee and alumni association for Holy Cross Preparatory Academy. Thomas DonnellyChief Scholar ~ Thomas Donnelly is chief scholar at the National Constitution Center. His specialties include constitutional theory, American political development, and American constitutional history (particularly, the Reconstruction era). ^^ Prior to joining the Center in 2016, Mr. Donnelly served as counsel at the Constitutional Accountability Center, as a Climenko Fellow and Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School, and as a law clerk for Judge Thomas Ambro on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. ^^ He is the recipient of the Judge William E. Miller Prize for best paper on the Bill of Rights. His academic writings have appeared in The Yale Law Journal, the Vanderbilt Law Review, the B.Y.U. Law Review, the Wisconsin Law Review, and Constitutional Commentary, among other law journals, and he has written popular pieces for various outlets, including The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The New Republic, Politico, Slate, Washington Monthly, Talking Points Memo, CNN.com, The Huffington Post, and The Hill. ^^ Donnelly is a graduate of Yale Law School, where he was a projects editor for The Yale Law Journal and a Coker Fellow. Before receiving his law degree, Donnelly worked as an analyst at the Mellman Group, a polling firm. He received his master's degree in politics from Princeton, where he received the Alpheus Thomas Mason Prize Fellowship, and his bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in government and philosophy from Georgetown University. ^^ Donnelly lives in Princeton, New Jersey, with his wife, son, and daughter. Julie SilverbrookVice President of Civic Education ~ Julie Silverbrook is vice president of civic education at the National Constitution Center. In this capacity, she oversees the Center’s civic education strategy and the development and distribution of all educational products and programs. ^^ For over a decade, Silverbrook has been one of the nation's leading advocates for civic education and constitutional literacy. She regularly writes and lectures on the importance of civic education to the health of the American republic, and on the U.S. Constitution and its history. Silverbrook has extensive experience in growth projects for non-profit organizations, cultivating partnerships, fundraising, coalition-building, and business development and management. ^^ Prior to the joining the Center, she served as senior director of partnerships and constitutional scholar in residence at iCivics from 2020-2024. Before that, she served as executive director of the Constitutional Sources Project (ConSource) in Washington, D.C., from 2012-2020. ^^ Silverbrook holds a JD from the William & Mary Law School, where she received the National Association of Women Lawyers Award and the Thurgood Marshall Award and served as a senior articles editor on the William & Mary Bill of Rights Journal. She graduated summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from The George Washington University with a BA in political science. Upon graduation, she was awarded the GW Columbian College of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Scholar Award, the highest academic award given to a student in the arts and sciences college. She was recently awarded the Taylor Reveley Citizen Lawyer award by William & Mary Law School for her dedication to promoting public understanding of the United States Constitution. ^^ Silverbrook lives in Bethesda, Maryland, with her husband and two daughters.Toby StockChief Strategy Officer ~ Toby Stock is the chief strategy officer of the National Constitution Center, working with the development team to build a growing community of the nation's leading philanthropists who are deeply committed to the Center’s nonpartisan civic education mission. ^^ Prior to joining the Center, Stock co-founded Dispatch Media, Inc., with Jonah Goldberg and Steve Hayes, leading the venture equity financing round and setting up the business operations serving The Dispatch's editorial team. Stock served more than 10 years in various senior development and strategic roles at the American Enterprise Institute, launching AEI's National Council and its popular Jackson Hole Retreat, its Enterprise Club young philanthropist group, and many of the Institute's college student and faculty outreach programs. During his time at AEI, he launched a consulting firm through which he has served a number of nonprofit CEOs on development and strategic issues. ^^ Prior to his tenure at AEI, Stock was admissions dean at Harvard Law School, working with then-dean Elena Kagan to achieve the law school’s highest admissions yield in decades. Stock came to HLS after cofounding an admissions consulting startup and working for two years at McKinsey & Company. ^^ He is a 2001 graduate of Harvard Law School and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Missouri. An Iowa native, Stock and his wife Margy live in Washington, D.C.Annie StoneVice President of Communications ~ Annie Stone is the vice president of communications at the National Constitution Center. In this capacity, she oversees marketing, public relations, digital media, and groups sales. She develops marketing strategies, coordinates media coverage of all programs and initiatives at the Center, and manages all other external communications. ^^ Prior to joining the National Constitution Center in 2017, she served in several roles at the Supreme Court of the United States, most recently as a specialist in the Court’s public information office. In supporting the work of the Court and the justices, she acted as a press liaison, working closely with the Supreme Court press corps and other journalists, coordinated communications plans for internal and external events involving the justices, managed all filming and photography at the Court, and oversaw external communications including the Court's website. ^^ Stone began her career in the press and public diplomacy section of the Delegation of the European Union to the United States, the EU’s official representation in Washington, D.C., and as an intern at the public relations and events firm, Hayes Group, LLC in McLean, Virginia. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia. ^^ She resides in Devon, PA, with her husband Chris.Lauren SyllingVice President of Strategy & Development ~ Lauren Sylling is the vice president of strategy & development at the National Constitution Center. In this capacity, she collaborates with the Center’s senior executive team to develop projects and proposals that advance the National Constitution Center’s strategic vision, and leads the development team in identifying and cultivating donors who align with these project goals and the Center's mission. ^^ Prior to joining the National Constitution Center, Sylling was the managing director of development communications at the American Enterprise Institute. In that role, she helped build, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with AEI's individual, foundation, and corporate donors and prospects through a particular focus on proposal writing and strategic communications. She helped develop strategic investment opportunities for donors and was responsible for writing broader collateral marketing materials. ^^ Sylling served 17 years in various roles at the American Enterprise Institute, including in the development department, president’s office, and government relations department. ^^ Sylling graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Business Administration and major in political science and holds a Master of Nonprofit Administration, also from Notre Dame. ^^ A New Jersey native, she resides in Fairfield County, Connecticut, with her husband, a former active duty officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and their two daughters.Tanaya TauberSenior Director of Town Hall Programs ~ Tanaya Tauber is the senior director of Town Hall programs at the National Constitution Center, where she curates America’s Town Hall programs bringing together thought leaders of all viewpoints for conversations and debates about the most significant constitutional topics of our time. In this capacity, she manages a menu of live, online, traveling, and on-site programs for a range of adult audiences from creation to implementation and distribution. She is also a producer of the Live at America's Town Hall podcast and assists with the Center's national bipartisan initiatives and projects. ^^ Tauber began her work at the National Constitution Center in 2007 as an intern in the education and exhibits department where she found a passion for American history and constitutional law, before joining the staff in 2008 as the National Programs & Initiatives Assistant. In her previous roles at the National Constitution Center, she has organized hundreds of book talks, debates, panels, and multi-day symposia featuring numerous historians, politicians, journalists, and scholars. ^^ She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University. Tauber also studied at Temple University's campus in Rome, Italy, and has a certificate in leadership and management from Temple University. ^^ She lives in the suburbs of Philadelphia with her husband Mike and daughter Zora.Lana UlrichVice President of Content and Senior Counsel ~ Lana Ulrich is the vice president of content and senior counsel at the National Constitution Center, where she manages the Center's constitutional content and programming initiatives. As the Center’s senior counsel, she assists with any legal matters relating to the National Constitution Center's operations, including contracts and intellectual property matters. She also launched and directed the Center's former Continuing Legal Education program. ^^ As the Center's vice president of content, Lana Ulrich manages the content and production of the We the People and Live at the National Constitution Center podcasts, on-site and traveling Town Hall debates, and museum exhibits, as well as online content such as the Interactive Constitution and the Constitution Daily blog. She moderates America’s Town Hall programs and podcasts, and has appeared on other podcasts and radio shows including Civics 101 to discuss constitutional issues. She also oversees the work of the Center’s key strategic projects and initiatives, including the bipartisan national commission, A Madisonian Constitution for All; Women and the Constitution; the Restoring the Guardrails of Democracy initiative; and the Constitution Drafting Project. ^^ Prior to joining the Center, she worked as a legal fellow for the United Nations Association, another nonprofit organization in Philadelphia. While in law school, she served as a law clerk for the U.S. Department of State's Office of Legal Adviser, where she assisted in representing the United States in international litigation and at the Iran-U.S. Claims Tribunal in The Hague. She also worked for a labor and employment law firm in Washington, D.C. ^^ Lana Ulrich is a graduate of The George Washington University Law School, where she was a Thurgood Marshall scholar. She also studied abroad at the University of Oxford in England through the GW-Oxford program, receiving a certificate in International Human Rights Law.
