The board is composed of prominent individuals and experts in the areas related to the technology, philosophy, and social sciences that underlie Synereo. Advisors enjoy full transparency into Synereo. They have access to collaborative work spaces as well as to all documents as they are created. They may ask to receive communications and all other info relevant to Synereo from the people working for the organization. Advisors will participate in a periodic Skype talk where concise updates will be provided before the floor is open to discussion items raised by the team or the advisors. This session is where Advisors may ask to speak to any member of the development team and ask any question about the project to receive a non-obscure answer. Advisors may also communicate at any time through any media or participate in a group or online collaboration space that is also open to Synereo team members. Media Psychology (APA Division 46) is a new branch of the American Psychological Association, devoted to understanding how media and technology affect cognition, culture, and psychology. Over the past ten years, Jed has served a number of nonprofits and organizations to help social change through technology, including United Way, Imani Workshops and Project YES. His primary focus is on how media and marketing can be leveraged towards social good and self growth. -- Jed’s role as advisor to Synereo will focus on marketing and branding, how to deeply understand the role of Synereo and communicate it to the public, and how to best leverage community to take an active role in the development of the application.Matt BlackMatt Black is half of legendary DJ duo and multimedia pop group Coldcut, formed in 1987, and founders of the Ninja Tune UK independent record label. Matt's stated ambition is to 'create positive art, music and spiritual technology to blow the mind of the entire planet and catalyse the advancement of cooperative strategies. He continues to gig, lecture, DJ, VJ, record, develop software and bridge the worlds of technology, club culture, art and activism. -- Matt’s role as advisor to Synereo will be to offer his 40 years of experience with creative digital technology to help map out where we are going - and get there. He is also an advocate for new experiments in net cooperation. Plus, he provides good music.Daniel EstradaDaniel Estrada holds a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Illinois. Daniel has been teaching the philosophy of technology for over a decade in schools and communities all over the world. He currently sits on the faculty at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where he regularly teaches courses on Engineering Ethics. Daniel has active research interests in human computation, complex systems, network theory, and collaborative agency in humans and other machines. Daniel is also active on social media, writing on topics ranging from artificial intelligence to the politics of digital culture. -- Daniel’s contributions to Synereo will focus primarily on the philosophical, ethical, and sociopolitical dimensions of the project.
